About our name…

In Hawai’i culture, Mohalu is the 12th phase of the lunar calendar, when the moon is nearly full. It is said that this was the most sacred night to the Polynesian deity, Kane, who would plant flowers on the 12th phase of the lunar cycle. It is a reminder that as we strive to reach our full light, we can find peace and fulfillment right where we are. At its heart, Mohalu means at ease, unrestrained, and to flower.
